Seems I'm in a minority here, lol, vastly preferring Requiem 2e over anything OWOD. I like 2e's rules the best, I like that unlike masq, I can ignore the metaplot in ways that the rules don't reinforce (like, if you toss out the Cain Mythos, it makes the generation mechanic kind of weird), I just think it gives me more options as both a player and a GM. I can make characters that fight clan stereotype instead of having to make IE a business-y Ventrue. (granted I only ever played Revised edition of Masq.)
I'm actually lukewarm on Bite Me. There's a couple bits in there that have me squinting and sometimes I feel Wod/OPP as a whole is a little too tryhard edgy, but with Req, it's easier to tone it down, imo. (and this is coming from someone who LOVES grimdark.)
