I'm gonna run through all my current losers in order, because honestly, Resources is one of those Backgrounds I always take at least one dot in...
Giovanni mob first:
Riccardo (Resources 4) is a property magnate. Family capital got him started off, and he's bought the leases on a lot of small businesses and apartments. He's the quintessential old-school capitalist, basically, and his wife/childe Luciana kind of steps into the role after his death.
Santino (Resources 1) made his original Resources (and his Fame) in the early nineties, fronting a briefly-successful grunge band; he tops them both up by playing scratch gigs and short tours either side of the US-Mexico border.
Alistair (Resources 2) draws a salary from the Dunsirn holdings company as a "public relations consultant", which means he's paid to enforce the Traditions in Glasgow on their behalf, in the guise of being a very hands-on brand manager.
Sorcha (Resources 2) has a share in the same organisation, which she supplements with modelling fees and dealing drugs (she's quite a capable chemist, and since she takes the stuff herself she doesn't mess around cutting it with too much garbage).
And over in VtR land, we have Adrian, whose single dot in Resources is a retainer from the sub-NWW magazine that employs him to write its After Dark column - an oddball mix of leftist politics, conspiracy theories and street-grade occultism. Keeping After Dark going is basically Why He Goes On Adventures - he needs a steady flow of implausible events to write about.
Oooh, good question!
